- Neither Castleford - Sherburn-in-Elmet route is walkable as shown over the A1(M) While there is supposed to be legal footpath here, the Highways Agency and NYCC failed to provide a crossing of the motorway. NYCC are aware but choose to do nothing about it. You have to divert via public roads either to the north or to the south Reported 24 Apr 2021
