  • I walked Selton to Alfreton so describe the issues in that direction. The Selton FP is a dead end at the river Erewash which is the county boundary from Notts to Derbys. A DMMO application has been submitted to DCC for the Derbyshire section of path which is well walked crossing the railway on the level. There is a path marked in Derbyshire along Alfsel-4399 but this does not continue across the river into Notts so the route is not possible. Problem 2. The definitive paths across the Smotherfly open cast mining site were not reinstated. The now defunct diversion route is still available and used but it has no legal entity although the landowner has put forward a diversion proposal to move the paths onto this route. Are you willing to offer a route that is currently not recorded as public? I thought I could include a picture which would help explain the issue. Will await your initial reply, just one this time please. Reported 02 May 2021
