  • 04.07.21 I was uploading my review of Pathar1 on which I had submitted the allowed total of 15 pictures that I had referenced in the written review. It appears to have deleted all but the 1st 3 pictures "Oops! An Error Occurred The server returned a "413 Payload Too Large". Something is broken. Please let us know what you were doing when this error occurred. We will fix it as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience caused." Reported 04 Jul 2021
  • Please see my recent edits of the description and review of Weoher 2. I need to take down the existing .gpx and upload a tweaked one which I have ready. I have emailed Dan R-E about this but I know he has many other demands on his time and I was hoping that the Slow Ways tech team could help by giving me an email address to which I can send the tweaked .gpx so that they can take down the existing one and replace it with the tweaked one. Thanks and best wishes from Nic Howes. Reported 29 Jun 2023
  • Hello, a route I uploaded and reviewed Potenf2 (potters Bar to Enfield Town Two) has disappeared. Instead I have Ascot to Lightwater in its place. I had some void Ascot routes last year but this was recognised and fixed. I can re-do Potenf2, but can it be recovered? And can the void route Asclig be removed (again). Thank you. • At GR 388229; 392771, in Heaton Chapel there is no access to Norfolk Avenue from the open ground - the route shown - (there’s a high metal fence). The recreation ground exit is in the west corner leading to Meadows Road. On Meadows Road, although the first left (Langdale Road) leads to the A6, I would recommend that the route uses the second left - Milwain Drive. This will lead to the pedestrian controlled crossing near the corner of Milwain Drive. After crossing the A6, the first right (Alford Road) will minimise the time spent on the A6, and links up with the original route. Reported 02 May 2021
  • Footbridge over the river Blackwater near the Blackwater station end is currently closed with barriers pending repair. It seems that the north (Berkshire) end has sunk making it unsafe. Reported 30 Aug 2023
  • When I submit a review I get this, see attachments. I can’t work out what the problem is . Please can you help. Rosalind Reported 17 May 2021
  • Hi Cristie Opened the link below to read a new review only to see something odd along the bottom of the screen. A red bar full of symbols, numbers and what looks like code. Tried both route links in email, same result. (Same result when I tried place links later). Numbers are slightly different, including what looks like page loading time in ms. Sequece of screenshots attached. Main route page was greyed out at first. On one test a cookie acceptance pop up appeared and I realised that touching the screen was still working despite the red bar. And the (Spoiler - review was only a rating. words say "leave a comment". A weirdly low effort review considering the effort of physically walking it) I also had a review email notification for another route a little earlier this evening and it is perfectly normal. (My own review - boring) Noticed that the URL is cluster.slowways instead of usual beta.slow... perhaps explaining the cookies. The page looks normal if I access it the usual way and I have not been logged out of beta.slowways.org. Also red bar was persistent as I navigated around the site ( still apparently within the Gmail app) and continued after "open in browser". When I realised that I apparently needed to "Log in". I didn't get much further. FYI I did have a pop up (not on phone but earlier on the laptop) about the main (beta) site to the effect of 'this website isn't secure but it usually is and someone could be eavesdropping on your data". It went away on refresh so I ignored it and would probably have forgotten by now. But I'll probably log out instead and wait a while. Over to you. I'm hoping it's pretty minor. • Hi I've just seen your email asking for applications for storytelling commissions. I have some questions I can't see the answers to. [I'm looking at the Colchester-Norwich waylist, so I'll talk about that] - Doing the entire 90mi walk in one go seems unlikely! Am I right that I can break it up in any way I want? eg. can I walk 1.5 routes on one trip, 0.5 route the next time, 2 the next, etc. Or for a given route do I have to have walked that in one day? [I think the answer is that it is very free form - as long as I have genuinely walked it, and the photos will confirm that, I can do it however makes sense] - the goal seems to be adding 3 reviews for all the routes in a waylist (so for each of the 9 routes in this waylist). Does it have to be the same 3 people for all of the routes? eg. could I walk Colchester-Manningtree with Alice and Bob, then Manningtree-Ipswich with Bob and Charlie, etc. Or does it have to have a “core” of 3 people that do all the routes? THanks, Anthony Reported 02 Feb 2024
  • This is a follow-up to your previous request #991 "Re: [Slow Ways] Re: Account..." Christie Sorry to be a pain, but having reviewed My Account, I'm still miles out ( pardon the pun ) between your km Surveyed / Reviewed and mine My records suggest they should both read about 560 km Can this be changed?
