  • Mr Graham has put up 2 reviews on this route on the same day. Reported 20 Jan 2024
  • I have submitted more than 80 reviews since January 2022 which have all disappeared this morning. 'My account - my reviews' shows that I have not submitted any reviews, but my dashboard still shows 89 completed. The last thing I did was to edit my review for Bolshi1 at about 11:00am this morning. Reported 01 Dec 2022
  • I've noticed this route doesn't appear on the progress map. Another route than I've done, Keiyeo2 also doesn't appear. I was trying to reduce the gaps! Reported 01 Jun 2023
  • 04.07.21 I was uploading my review of Pathar1 on which I had submitted the allowed total of 15 pictures that I had referenced in the written review. It appears to have deleted all but the 1st 3 pictures "Oops! An Error Occurred The server returned a "413 Payload Too Large". Something is broken. Please let us know what you were doing when this error occurred. We will fix it as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience caused." Reported 04 Jul 2021
  • Morning Cristie. WhiCan 4 route page isn't displaying properly, (Or 11068 as it says below this text box). It's map is only white, also no control buttons. On Android Chrome and Win 11 last night and still this morning. Also missing from WhiCan slow way page. The text says it follows Invicta Way from the top, whereas the other 3 briefly divert from the bike path onto a residential road. Will attach screenshots via reply to confirmation. Pretty sure I've seen something like this before but it resolved itself. Reported 26 Jan 2024
  • Hi. On Tuesday 18.05.2021 I walked route Ellche (from Chester to Ellesmere Port). Yesterday I tried to submit a review and also undertake a verification. I had selected 15 photos (all less than 10MB). I tried to submit the report twice having taken ages to load-up the photos (which all showed up in photo preview after they loaded). However, each time I pressed submit after completing the verification section I got an 'Error 500: Sorry, something has gone wrong' message. Today I have tried again with 15 photos and got it again each time. I then tried with just 3 photos and the same has happened. I'm not sure if the issue is with me in terms of photos or text format or with the website etc? For example, in addition to the 15 photos my comments were fairly long - not quite an A4 sheet at font size 11 - but there is no indication of any word or character limit. Also, I first wrote up the comments in Word and then copied and paste to the Comments Box (so not sure if that's an issue?). SOS! Thanks. Paul Reported 20 May 2021
  • This route tries to take the water through a gated, private woodland across the lane after Frith Wood. (One of the photos shows this and it's noted in the reviews.) The route needs updating to show the detour (on road and then footpath) required as a result of this. Ledmal 2 uses the correct, accessible and legal route at this point. Reported 07 Feb 2023
  • This route has been submitted as an alternative, and it is MUCH better and I really don't want to undermine that with this report. But there is a serious functional problem. Before I realised there was an option to "report" a route I tried to address this in a review, well two reviews, I hope that doesn't muddy the waters. Something seems to have gone wrong with the GPX file upload. On the route's own page there is nothing visible on the map, but if you click through to InkAtlas the route appears there. Is this a technical glitch that has happened for other new routes? GreWoo two is a lovely route along the Thames Path, and while GreWoo one may look superficially green in places on a map this is mostly walking along streetside pavements with the park or green space on the other side of a fence. I think Two is a better methodological fit. Reported 30 Jun 2021
  • There are a lack of 'places' in this region, as a result this route is 35km and impractical. Not many people would want to end up on an island at the end of 35km, however they might do 21.3km along the King Charles III England Coast Path. There is a pub half way at Goldhanger to get some food and rest. From Tollesbury you could take a decent walk to West Mersea, or link up more practically with Layer de la Haye and then onwards to Colchester or Wivenhoe. I suggest we need the addition of Tollesbury and Layer de la Haye, which I've suggested in more detail with this post; https://slowways.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/community/posts/16516948033693-Tollesbury-in-Essex-place-suggestion Reported 05 Feb 2024
  • I noted this was reported. My route won't upload because the start and endpoints don't match but I put both into my OS Maps program and included them in the route? "When uploading a route the start and end points have to match the pre-existing choice of start and end already on the website. It shouldn't matter if a route goes from the existing "end" to the existing "start", i.e. is inverted. (e.g. Chippenham to Calne is the same as Calne to Chippenham - either direction should work.)" Reported 26 Apr 2021
  • Hello, a route I uploaded and reviewed Potenf2 (potters Bar to Enfield Town Two) has disappeared. Instead I have Ascot to Lightwater in its place. I had some void Ascot routes last year but this was recognised and fixed. I can re-do Potenf2, but can it be recovered? And can the void route Asclig be removed (again). Thank you. Tony Reported 30 Jun 2022
  • "Bl---- Bonkers". I spent some time producing NEWTEI 2 because NEWTEI 1 suffered 2 significant flaws. 1: The original GPX was too imprecise, notably where it confused one reviewer into taking an inappropriate wrong turning at Shaldon Bridge to cross under the railway line. 2: A quite worrying apparent failure to understand and appreciate the safety restrictions on timing because the track is intertidal between the A380 bridge and Shaldon. I am concerned that this reviewer appears to have walked the route without due respect to the clearly displayed warning signs (or my description) on completing below half tide. He has in fact rated not the NEWTEI 2 gpx route but his route on going "off-track" (something which it is not possible to do successfully and which is never necessary anyway when completed below half tide). Not sure what (if anything?) needs doing. Reported 05 Aug 2023
  • I walked part of the Wooler to Alnwick route today from Wooler to Eglingham and will complete the route soon and post a review (the part walked today was a fantastic). However there is a problem with the route from Berwick Folly (Way Point 269, map ref 067227) to where the route joins with a bridleway at WayPoint 300, map ref 079221. The route between these points is drawn as a straight line, but it does not follow any footpath or other right of way and it is not over access land for most of the way. I had noted that this part of the route was odd when I reviewed it on an OS map before setting off but assumed that Berwick Folly was an unoccupied derelict property and the route followed an ancient unused byway. However Berwick Folly is a farmhouse with outbuildings converted into very expensive/exclusive looking cottages. The route shown starts by crossing a large very neatly tended private lawn and then into an arable field. We spoke to a charming and helpful resident who told us there had never been any sort of pathway on the SlowWays route and the farmer did not like walkers on even legitimate rights of way over his land! We did find a route sticking to public rights of way until we were into the Access Land and then cutting across to rejoin the SlowWays route which added minimal distance to the walk. I can send you the details of the route I took by email attachment if this would be helpful. Rick Sweeney Reported 15 Jun 2021
  • On the South side of Braintree this route crosses the A120, a fast dual carriageway. The crossing point is dangerous and locals avoid every using it because cars approach unsighted at 70mph+ round a curve in the road. There are alternative safe options in the area. Reported 02 Jan 2024
  • The route is quite badly drawn in places, for example near Woodside. It looks as if it has been done at too low a resolution. I have a GPX track of the route from St Boswells to Woodhouse, if that would be helpful. One of my fellow walkers will be doing the bit from Woodhouse to Jedburgh and will submit a separate report. • This is a follow-up to your previous request #846 "Problem with a General: Site" Hi Christie I have tried to report two bugs/errors for a few days but keep getting Error 500, so I am trying emailing them. First A few of days ago, I accidentally clicked a second time to submit my review of Prebam Two, which I had created, when the first submission didn't show up quickly. My review is now duplicated, so please could you remove one of them. Second My Waylist map is showing Barrhead to Thorniebank (Bartho) which I didn’t add, and have never even viewed. When I click that route, and View Route Details, it takes me to Preley Two. Beneath my review is Other Routes for Barrhead—Thornliebank. Thanks Mary Oz (Austin) Reported 19 Feb 2022
  • This is a follow-up to your previous request #1086 "Problem with a Route: Bexda..." Hi Cristie Oddly BexDar 2 =10125, which was the twin of this, isn't displaying properly on my laptop or my phone. Text, photos, etc is there, but the big map and route line is an entirely white space. Maybe there was an upload problem after all. I've just double checked, the same thing is still happening. No route line and no base map. Legend and buttons on top right are there but have no effect. Have refreshed page several times. Bex Dar One and other routes display ok though. Come to think of it neither One nor Two show on the progress map although both have positive reviews. And, just checked, if you click on the route line of BexDar 2 from another page it takes you to 10126=BexDar 3! I've got copies of the two texts and photos so if it's easiest to just delete BexDar Two and start again on a fresh BexDar route I could do that. Daisy Reported 25 Nov 2022
  • This route runs through the Broad Ride of Cirencester Park from Cecily Hill to Sapperton. This is not a public right of way (according to the online Gloucestershire PROW map). Only the east part of the Broad Ride are open to the public and the gates are locked at 18:00 every evening. To get from Sapperton to Cirencester follow the Thames Severn Way to the Tunnel House and cut across to Coates and then through the Royal Agricultural University farm fields to the Foss Way just west of Cirencester Reported 16 Apr 2021
  • Jock's Road / Tolmouth remains inaccessible, Storm Arwen wiped out much of Glen Doll's forests and the path between Glen Doll ranger base and the end of the forest is still blocked. Access is possible by walking up the South Esk, going left round by Loch Esk and reaching Crow Craigies that way, then down to Braemar Reported 29 Apr 2022
  • This route appears to take in the A17. The A17 is a major trunk road used by HGV with no footpath and in my opinion it is too dangerous to walk along Reported 12 Aug 2023
  • It seems to be on there twice. Reported 19 May 2021
  • Hi Cristie Hope you had a nice weekend Easilf 3 is a fairly new route in East London, a few months old. Added because Easilf 2 (one of the originals) had a flaw. It has one positive review. It does show on the progress map but only just. It doesn't show as a positive review or a negative review. It doesn't show as to be pioneered. It doesn't show as the zero option for verified or positive or anything else either (but what route does!). I realised after quite a bit of faffing around that it does show under All routes. Oddly Easilf 2 (which it replaces) shows as both a negative review and as to be pioneered. Easilf 3 is probably the only one that's likely to get "positively reviewed" but it is fine on the main site and the area has plenty of other slow ways so it won't appear to be a huge hole in the network. It's just a new one for me. I'm not sure if I'm remembering this right, but is the progress map is being phased out? If that's right then ignore this, if not then please treat it as the lowest priority or none at all. I've stopped worrying about other strange things on there but if this is new to me then perhaps it's new to you too? Thanks Daisy Reported 25 Nov 2023
  • I updated my profile with my picture and when I saved it, I got an 500 error - no explanation as to what it means and no indication of how to resolve the problem. Can you help please? Neil Cameron Reported 02 Jan 2024
  • I have downloaded and printed the survey forms and completed them by hand. How to I send these to you. There are supplementary documents on an error in the route. I was hoping to scan these and send them as a pdf, but cannot find such a facility on the slow ways website. Ken Perrett Reported 30 Apr 2021
