2. Reaching the extent of Ingleby Barwick, there is a short path down to the gate on the left (not the kissing gate on the right). 1.2 km from start — 14 Jun 2021
3. Opening out onto a group of holiday homes, with a notable gradient down the bank. 1.3 km from start — 14 Jun 2021
4. Here we must cross the somewhat busy Leven Bank Road at Low Bank, to cross back over past the bridge. Note the bus stop for Arriva services 17 and X17 running between Ingleby and Yarm. 1.4 km from start — 14 Jun 2021

7. Now looking forward, we must reascend the bank which is somewhat steep but also slightly uneven with grass tufts. 1.5 km from start — 14 Jun 2021
8. Having reaching the brow of the bank, there is another stile into the field. 1.6 km from start — 14 Jun 2021
9. The grass in the field could potentially be quite long, and animals potentially may be present (none on this day). The field also has a stile at the other side, before we can rejoin the road. 1.7 km from start — 14 Jun 2021
