    1. For this survey of 'Lewalf 2' I walked from Lewes to Alfriston. A bench halfway up Chapel Hill on the way out of Lewes. The road is very steep. 1 km from start — 20 Jun 2021

    3. The 'offical' footpath turns right to go down into the valley and up again, but the Slow Way should use the permissive path that contours around and avoids the steep downhill/uphill section. (compare Lewalf one with Lewalf two) 1.8 km from start — 20 Jun 2021
