    5. Easy to get lost in this horse field leaving Weston Underwood. Aim left midway along the edge of the field. Some exits / entrances are also somewhat hidden behind overgrowth, so you may need to get close to them to spot them. 5 km from start — 19 Aug 2021

    6. Some way after Ravenstone the footpath is redirected in 2018. Very pleasant walking along the edge of the field though. I did lose the path somewhere here but followed the road back to rejoin it further on. 8 km from start — 19 Aug 2021

    8. As you reach the B526 the path disappears for a bit, and then you need to cross someone's property via their back garden. The route is correct, going left, where it crosses a footbridge, though there is no path marker on the footbridge. 12 km from start — 19 Aug 2021

    9. As you approach Salcey the path might get a bit muddy. Also nettles, a bit overgrown reaching this bit. 13 km from start — 19 Aug 2021

    10. M1 crossing barred to pedestrians. So continue through Salcey towards the Hartwell road and cross the M1 via the road bridge. Again, may be muddy in this area, particularly if logging is going on. After this it is an easy walk on tarmac to the church in Hartwell. Note, I found this route more like 10 miles. 15 km from start — 19 Aug 2021
